Lazy fashion

You know those days where you;
a) Want a lazy day doing absolutely bugger all, but;
b) You kind of want to make a little bit of an effort.

Yeah...those days!

This is my attempt to wear a comfortable medium between effort and no effort.

    Peplum floral top - Topshop
Bodycon skirt - Topshop
Heart necklace - Asos
Earrings - New Look

This outfit took no planning at all which automatically makes this a favourite!

In other news...
I've decided I need to get away from everything so I'm going to let my hair down at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. I've been feeling everything other than festive this year which is such a shame because Christmas is my favourite holiday! So I'm going to force it upon myself to get in the festive spirit, and I'm really excited about going. Talking of christmas, I've almost completed my shopping (I have many items 'saved' on Asos that I have my eye on!)

Hope you have all had a lovely week!

I definitely jumped on the hype-wagon when I got excited over the Starbucks Christmas cups. I also got overly excited by some Frubes with a good friend. I walked past the thinnest house I've ever seen in Chelsea. The Shard. My view on a frosty autumn morning. My future car (Lamborghini Aventador). The best coaster I've ever seen. Harrods is all christmassy. Cooking a yummy omlette.

A Little Bit of Grunge

Recently I've been wearing the colour black a lot. Whether that's because of the time of year or because I'm being lazy, I don't know. Either way, I love black and I don't care :)

My leather jacket wasn't a purchase I made rationally...I didn't want to rush into buying something that I knew would be worn a lot. After a fair amount of 'umming and ahhing' I decided 'Oh what the hell!'

And I haven't regretted it since.

 Hi Lo Dress - Glamorous
Jacket - River Island
Bracelet - New Look
Shoes - Converse

As of now, I'm not 100% on this dress. I love the tie-dye, I love the studs...but I'm not so sure I love the asymmetric-ness. I feel like it's a bit too long? Either way I refuse to send it back because it's just so different and I have nothing else like this in my wardrobe.

I wore my trusty converse which I absolutely can't get enough of at the moment, even though I bought them a good year ago!

What do you think of the dress? I need some reassurance :)

Scottish Roots

Is it too soon for another tartan-obssessed post...?

Noo, of course it's not!

This goregous wollen scarf is my 'go-to' item at the moment and since I wear a lot of black, it goes with everything.

I can thank my eBay addiction for this item. I was determined to win the bidding war between me and another fellow bargain hunter and ended up paying £19 (I got a little bit carried away but I couldn't afford to let this one go!) It's also by Pringle which adds luxury to my outfit :)

In other news...I had my first set of vaccinations today in preperation for my 5 months travelling. I can deal with injections...the cost however is another story! I ended up spending £121 for four injections and that's not the half of it :( I guess this means my shopping money is being eaten into by annoying expenses such as this one!

Licking the bowl on a saturday night. Justifying licking the bowl by eating pesto pasta and reading the recent Glamour issue. Halloween night out. My very professional makeshift tripod. New stud top. I want these Nike ID trainers! Trying to liven up my bedroom with some pretty flowers. Making a cake and the eggs smiled at me. Outfit of the evening!

This week has been a very busy week for me in terms of work. In terms of everything else however, it's been a pretty dull week. My flights are now booked so I'm off travelling for 5 and a half months next February which is extremely exciting. Hope you all have had a great week:

Prepster

I feel like the shirt makes it look as though I have put loads of thought into this outfit. When really, I haven't. But that is what makes this outfit a winner for me. I can shove it on and look 'together'.

Blue plaster, I cut myself at work :(

 Shirt - ASOS
Necklace - Topshop
Textured skirt - ASOS
Gold cuff - charity shop :)
See, I told you that necklace gets around....

I tucked the necklace under the folded collar making it look as though it's built in. I really love it like this as it's a subtle 'add-on' to the shirt whilst making it look a bit more glamorous :)

*warning* You will be seeing this ASOS skirt a lot in my posts....it is literally my all time favourite skirt, it goes with most things in my wardrobe!

What do you think?

The Black Swan - Halloween Style

Me being me I left my halloween costume until the day before, meaning everywhere was sold out of fake blood/cat ears/face paint/witch hats, therefore making my (what should have been easy) decision a nightmare

I finally decided on going as The Black Swan.

My creativity didn't go very far beyond the makeup however. Probably could have made more effort with a black tutu, but was put off by the price tag along with the fact that I'd never wear it again. So instead I wore a black crop top and a black skirt - keepin' it simple.

One of my best friends, Kitty and I
(Sorry about the camera quality, it was taken on the front facing camera of my iphone!)

It took a good half hour to do the eyes alone but I think (and hope) it paid off. I also hope that people knew exactly who we were or it would look like a random mass amount of eye makeup ;) We coloured the lips in with a dark red lipliner and used a black pencil eye liner on the corners of our lips to darken the tone.

Hope you guys like what we did - it was definitely a lot of fun and a whole lot of experimenting!
What did you wear for halloween?

Wearing a pretty little peplum. Getting ready for a night out. I found a gold olympic post box! My baby lulu. My best friends and I. Cheeky visit to Victoria's Secret. My new tartan scarf. Being healthy with my favourite meal. I met Oliver Proudlock!

Thought I'd join in with the Instagram hype and do one each week. Hope you enjoy :)

Mad for Tartan

If you’re an internet shopping addict (like me) then read on and feel my pain.

I’m loving the tartan trend at the moment and therefore should have known it was a dangerous idea when I typed in the vague description ‘tartan’ into the ASOS search box. However, I refrained, to an extent, and kept my eye on a beautiful ‘Glamorous’ skater dress. £28 wasn’t going to do too much harm so away I went and added it to my bag. In the time it took me to admire and proceed to checkout it SOLD OUT.

Let’s just all take a minute to empathize….

When I see something I like I can be pretty persistent – every time I had a chance I frantically refreshed the page. The hard work paid off because FINALLY my size was available. And five days later it arrived.

Dress - Asos
Jacket - River Island
Boots - Topshop
Bracelets - Pandora, Links of London, Mulberry
Rings - Accessorize
Necklace was a gift

I fell in love with the tartan skater style dress since Rihanna wore an Alexander McQueen beauty on The X Factor last year.

I love the double layering on the skirt – makes it a little more flirty.

Paired with a River Island leather jacket and some badboy stud boots.

I really love this outfit – such a perfect casual-chic outfit for day and all it would need is some chunky gold jewellery and heels to glam it up.

I'd love to hear what you guys think :)
